Powerhouse Hobbs Removed From AEW Roster Following Contract Expiration

AEW

Powerhouse Hobbs is no longer All Elite.

Following Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision, Hobbs was officially removed from the company’s online roster page. His departure comes after his contract expired at midnight on January 15.

Hobbs finished up his commitments on the Collision episode taped on January 14 (which aired on January 17), where he, Samoa Joe, and Katsuyori Shibata lost the AEW Trios Championships to Hangman Page and JetSpeed.

According to Fightful Select, Hobbs is leaving on good terms after wanting to test free agency. However, he likely won’t be a free agent for long; the report states that he is expected to join WWE imminent. Hobbs originally signed with AEW in 2020 and is a former TNT Champion.
