New Japan Pro-Wrestling has announced a significant addition to the card for this Sunday’s Road to The New Beginning event. Hiromu Takahashi will compete in his final singles match for the promotion on February 8, facing Young Lion Masatora Yasuda.
According to a statement from NJPW, the match was booked “at both competitors’ requests.” This means Takahashi will pull double duty on the special live event, as he was originally scheduled for an eight-man tag team match against the United Empire. Following this Sunday’s show, Hiromu will have his final NJPW match at The New Beginning in Osaka on February 11, teaming with Taiji Ishimori.
