The working relationship between Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) continues to provide cross-promotional opportunities for talent, but injuries have recently forced organizers to make significant adjustments. The highly anticipated CMLL La Noche De Las Amazonas card is currently undergoing changes to accommodate an unforeseen medical issue.
Audibles Called for the Premier All-Women’s Event
CMLL management officially announced that the scheduled tag team match featuring the MegaBad duo of Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford has been scrapped. This decision stems directly from a legitimate injury sustained by Penelope Ford during the February 25 episode of AEW Dynamite. Ford was injured midway through a televised bout where she and Bayne were challenging the Babes of Wrath (Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale) for the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championships, forcing an immediate disqualification finish to protect her health.
With Ford unable to travel and compete, CMLL pivoted to ensure Bayne remained on the card. The powerhouse competitor, Megan Bayne, is now scheduled to face Olympia in a one-on-one singles match at the March 6 event. In addition to the Bayne versus Olympia matchup, CMLL also announced a major international singles contest, revealing that Stardom standout Mina Shirakawa will square off against the veteran Zeuxis.

These newly announced bouts join the massive main event that was previously established for the show. Global superstar Mercedes Mone is set to defend her prestigious CMLL World Women’s Championship against the formidable Persephone. La Noche De Las Amazonas has quickly established itself as one of the premier showcases for women’s wrestling in Mexico, and despite the card changes, the event is poised to deliver a historic night of in-ring action at Arena México.
