The “Show of Shows” is getting a new time slot and a massive traditional television presentation. WWE has officially confirmed that WrestleMania 42 will begin at 6 PM ET, marking a shift in the scheduling for the two-night extravaganza.
ESPN Steps Up for the Grandest Stage
WrestleMania 42 will take place on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, emanating from the state-of-the-art Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. In a major broadcasting development, both nights of the event will be available to stream in full on the ESPN Unlimited platform. Furthermore, linear television viewers will get a taste of the action, as the first hour of Night One will be broadcast live on ESPN2, while the first hour of Night Two will air on the flagship ESPN network.
The card for the Las Vegas spectacle is already loaded with blockbuster championship matchups. In the main event picture, Roman Reigns will challenge CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, while Drew McIntyre will put his Undisputed WWE World Championship on the line against the winner of the Men’s Elimination Chamber, Randy Orton.
The women’s division is equally stacked. Liv Morgan is scheduled to challenge Stephanie Vaquer for the WWE Women’s World Championship, and powerhouse Jade Cargill will face off against “The Eradicator” Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s Championship. With the new start time and expanded broadcast reach, WrestleMania 42 is poised to be one of the most accessible events in WWE history.
