The Hurt Syndicate isn’t going anywhere. During a recent interview with Your Entertainment Escape, MVP revealed that both he and Shelton Benjamin have signed contract extensions with AEW, locking the group into the company for the foreseeable future.
MVP was characteristically enthusiastic about the situation. “I tell people all the time — I’ve got the best job in the world. My friends beat people up, and I talk about it. Shelton and Bobby are legitimately two of my closest friends. We’re like brothers. We’re business partners. I just get to make a whole lot of money hanging out with my friends. AEW has been a great experience for us. Tony Khan’s a great guy to work for, and we’re having a really good time.”

On what fans can expect from The Hurt Syndicate in 2026, MVP kept it simple and direct. “Shelton and I signed contract extensions not that long ago. We’ll be around kicking ass and not even bothering to take names for some time to come. We will continue to hurt people.” Bobby Lashley has also recently revealed that he has healed from injury and is ready to compete for the AEW World Trios Championships with Benjamin and MVP once he returns to television, giving the group a clear target heading into the spring.
