Ricochet and Rich Swann are set to meet at ROH x MLP Global Wars on March 27, with the event airing on Triller TV. The match marks the first officially announced bout for the show. Ricochet is currently signed to AEW while Swann competes in TNA Wrestling, making this a cross-promotional singles match between two of the more athletic performers in the business.
The two have history together — they previously met at FSW Mecca X: Beynefit For Bey in March 2025, and their first-ever singles encounter dates back to 2011. The booking comes as Ricochet has been absent from AEW television following backlash over a social media post in which he told a fan he was glad they had multiple sclerosis. He subsequently deleted the tweet and issued an apology. Reports indicated no formal punishment from AEW followed, though he did not appear on recent Dynamite or Collision tapings.
