Jeff Jarrett is taking his promotional instincts to the arena football field. A press release from Arena Football One confirmed that Jarrett has been named Managing Partner and Co-Owner of the Nashville Kats, marking his latest venture outside the professional wrestling world.
Nashville Kats President and Partner Jeff Fisher made the announcement and was direct about what Jarrett brings to the franchise. “We are so excited to have Jeff Jarrett play a lead role in our franchise management team on a variety of levels. Obviously, he is among the best in any business at promotions and marketing and all the components that come with that. Jeff’s impact on the Kats will be immeasurable, and his leadership and experiences are invaluable resources.”
Jarrett Points to 40 Years as a Promoter as the Foundation for This Next Chapter
Jarrett framed the opportunity through the lens of his extensive promotional background, while expressing genuine excitement about Fisher’s vision for the team. “The legacy and leadership abilities of Jeff Fisher make it an honor to be his business partner with the Kats. I’m a third-generation promoter with 40 years in the industry. I am honored to be called by Coach Fisher to help him and the Kats create excitement both on and off the field.” He added: “Coach Fisher’s desire to make the Kats the preeminent franchise in Arena Football is genuine and exciting. I can’t wait for opening night.”
The Nashville Kats play their home games at F&M Bank Arena in Clarksville, Tennessee, with their season opening April 17 against the Michigan Arsenal. The role adds to an already diverse portfolio for Jarrett, who serves as Director of Business Development at AEW and co-owns the Springfield Lucky Horseshoes collegiate summer league baseball team. He is also a WWE Hall of Famer (2018), TNA/Impact Hall of Famer (2015), and has held more than 80 championships across his decorated wrestling career.
