Kyle Fletcher has spoken openly about what it meant to win the AEW World Trios Championships alongside Mark Davis and Kazuchika Okada — and it’s clear the achievement was about far more than the titles. Speaking to WhatCulture Wrestling, the TNT Champion reflected on his decade-long partnership with Davis and what watching his closest friend succeed has meant to him.
“Davis, we traveled the world together for coming up to 10 years now. That kind of bond, you don’t get very often,” Fletcher said. “He’s one of my best friends in the entire world, and he really did get the short end of the stick for a little while. There were a couple of injuries, and yeah, he really had some bad luck.”
Fletcher Says Davis Is Now Smashing Every Opportunity Just Like He Did in 2023
Fletcher drew a direct parallel between Davis’ current run and his own breakout period. “Now he’s kind of in that spot where I was back in 2023 when he got hurt. I was given these really awesome opportunities and I was able to take the ball and run with it. Now he’s in that same spot, and he’s smashing every single one out of the park like I always knew he would.” He closed with a line that captured exactly what the reunion meant. “The fact that we were able to be world trios champs together and get that reunion — it meant the world.” Fletcher and Davis lost the Trios titles at AEW Revolution 2026.
