Julia Hart has spoken warmly about the genuine pride she feels watching former House of Black stablemate Brody King thrive in AEW following the group’s separation. Speaking with Fightful‘s Jeremy Lambert, Hart reflected on a bond that extends well beyond their on-screen partnership — one that includes personal friendship with King’s family and a career mentorship that she credits as genuinely transformative.
“I’m so proud of him. It’s so cool seeing where we both came from. I remember one of our first conversations — we were talking about where we lived, and we found out we lived ten minutes away from each other,” Hart said. The connection quickly grew into something deeper. “Meeting his wife, who is amazing, we’ve become really close, and his kids are so cute and fun. They’re going to be like the coolest kids on the block.”

Hart was also direct about the professional impact King has had on her career. “Being under his wing has meant a lot to me, and he’s helped me tremendously.” Since House of Black split up, King has gone on to hold the AEW World Tag Team Titles with Bandido and scored a shocking upset victory over MJF — a win that later earned him a rematch for the AEW World Championship at Grand Slam Australia 2026. Hart herself has found a new home within Triangle of Madness alongside Skye Blue and Women’s World Champion Thekla. The admiration between the two former stablemates clearly runs deep, making their separate career paths one of the more interesting parallel stories in AEW right now.
