Brody King has reflected on his time in AEW with genuine pride and gratitude, describing his journey from House of Black to the main event of Grand Slam Australia as an “amazing” upward trajectory — while expressing hope that his beloved tag team partnership with Bandido will have future chapters to write.
“From House of Black to where we’re at now, it’s just been a huge upward trajectory. Having a main event title match with MJF in Australia was incredible. Countless pay-per-views, everything has been amazing. Being AEW Tag Team champions with Bandido has been amazing. I can’t complain,” King told Denise Salcedo.

King also traced the organic origin of his partnership with Bandido, which began with a random All-Star tag match that instantly revealed their chemistry. “Somebody tweeted the word ‘Brodido,’ and then Tony was like, ‘That’s it, Brodido!’ And then we became champions and we had a classic match with FTR. We had great matches with Takeshita and Okada, with the Young Bucks.” On the prospect of reuniting, King was hopeful. “I hope that once everything starts to settle down, we can get back to tag team wrestling. You definitely haven’t seen the end of Brodido.” King also addressed the fan support he has received for speaking out on social justice issues, noting that the loud anti-ICE chants at Grand Slam Australia before his MJF title match gave him a feeling that he “could run through a wall at that moment.”
