Renee Paquette has shared a candid account of when she actually fell in love with professional wrestling — and it wasn’t before she joined the industry. Speaking on Who Is…?, the AEW personality explained that working inside the business gave her a completely different perspective that ultimately transformed how she felt about the sport.
“I fell in love with wrestling when I started working in wrestling. It was such a different perspective to cover professional wrestling and talk about wrestling on TV, but then to actually work for a wrestling company and see the belly of the beast and see the way things work — I think that’s what really made me fall in love with this,” Paquette said. She also credited her athletic background for helping the connection click. “I came from more of an entertainment background, but I played a ton of sports growing up. So to see those two things come together, it’s a match made in heaven for me. I would not want to cover another sport. This is the world I am meant to be in.”
