Lance Storm Fires Back at MJF’s TNA Comments

AEW

The MJF versus TNA Wrestling dispute has drawn in another major voice — and this time it is coming from inside TNA. Lance Storm, who serves as a producer for the promotion, addressed MJF’s public criticism on Wrestling Observer Live, offering a pointed counterargument to the AEW World Champion’s position on TNA blocking its talent from working indie shows against AEW-contracted performers.

Storm’s rebuttal was sharp and logical. “I would like to point out that if he thinks not letting them wrestle AEW talent on indie shows is taking food out of their mouths, I would say MJF saying, ‘Don’t support that company’ is also taking food out of their mouths,” Storm said. The line cuts directly to the internal contradiction in MJF’s position — advocating for the financial wellbeing of TNA wrestlers while simultaneously urging fans to boycott the promotion that employs them.

Bryan Alvarez Suggests TNA’s “Partner Conflicts” Language Points Directly to WWE’s Ongoing Partnership With the Promotion

When co-host Bryan Alvarez suggested that TNA’s stated reason for the restrictions — “partner conflicts” — sounds like code for WWE, Storm’s response was understated but telling. “I think that is our partner,” he said, effectively confirming that WWE’s partnership with TNA is the underlying reason for the restrictions on TNA talent working against AEW performers at independent events. According to Alvarez, TNA’s current position is that its wrestlers can appear on the same independent shows as AEW-contracted talent — they simply cannot compete against each other in matches. MJF had previously called Carlos Silva’s decision-making “disgusting” and questioned how anyone could support TNA given the circumstances, framing the restrictions as harmful to the very wrestlers TNA claims to be protecting.
