At Saturday’s TNA Rebellion in Cleveland, Ohio, EC3 confronted Eric Young after Young spent time disrespecting the city, driving him out of the ring before declaring his return and challenging Young to a match on this Thursday’s Impact. He closed the promo with a pointed line that brought the crowd to its feet — “I’m from Cleveland, b****.”
The show also featured another notable return when KC Navarro interfered in the AJ Francis versus Nic Nemeth match, distracting Francis long enough for former Cleveland Browns legend Bernie Kosar to hit Francis with a steel chair. Nemeth capitalized and scored the win with the Danger Zone. Both matches were subsequently confirmed for Thursday’s Impact — EC3 versus Eric Young and KC Navarro versus AJ Francis.
Lei Ying Lee’s TNA Knockouts Title Bid Ended by Former Friend Xia Brookside’s Shocking Betrayal
The most dramatic moment of Rebellion may have been the betrayal that cost Lei Ying Lee the TNA Knockouts World Championship. Lee appeared to have the match won against Arianna Grace with the Warrior’s Way — only to be stunned when she discovered that Brookside had placed Grace’s foot on the rope to break the count. Brookside then dragged Lee out of the ring, threw her into the ring steps, and Grace recovered to win with a knee to the back of the head. The turn sets up what figures to be a major new feud in the TNA Knockouts division between the former friends.
