Speculation that MJF might be taking time away from AEW following his World Championship loss to Darby Allin at Spring BreakThru Dynamite has been quickly addressed. Self Made Pro Wrestling reports that MJF is not expected to miss time, is not currently filming a movie, and is factored into main event plans for Double or Nothing on May 24 in Queens, New York.
“In speaking with a source with knowledge of the situation, MJF is not expected to miss time and is not filming a movie at this point. MJF is scheduled for upcoming Dynamites and will be factored into main event plans for Double or Nothing,” Self Made reported. Allin’s win over MJF in Everett was a quick match that saw Allin deliver a Scorpion Death Drop, four Coffin Drops, and a headlock takeover pin after trading low blows with the former champion. MJF’s second title reign had begun at Worlds End in December and included seven successful defenses. He also has a homecoming scheduled for May 1 in Long Island at Create-A-Pro, where he will now compete in an open challenge after TNA Wrestling blocked the originally planned match against Nic Nemeth.
