John Cena has reflected on his WrestleMania 42 hosting experience with the kind of genuine gratitude and warmth that has defined his relationship with WWE audiences throughout his career. Taking to social media after Night Two, Cena revealed the combined two-night attendance figure and expressed how meaningful the weekend had been from his new perspective outside the ring.
“An incredible weekend! Truly enjoyed WM through a different perspective. What a turnout of 106,072! To ALL those who saw it live — thank you for the Hausen,” Cena wrote after Night Two, referencing the Danhausen segment that saw him give his blessing for the Very Nice Very Evil One to hit a Five Knuckle Shuffle. He had already posted after Night One — “Thank you 50,817 strong for making my night one WrestleMania unforgettable. I was overwhelmed with all the unexpected moments. Your enthusiasm to kick off the show, your warmth for Bianca’s announcement” — with both posts capturing a performer experiencing the Show of Shows from a fundamentally different vantage point for the first time. Cena also attended the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and was shown in the crowd multiple times during the proceedings.
