Seth Rollins has explained the unexpected physics behind the black eye he showed up to television with following WrestleMania 42 — and the explanation is as chaotic and Bron Breakker-specific as anyone could have anticipated. Appearing on The Rich Eisen Show on April 23, Rollins walked through exactly what happened when Breakker came sprinting down the ramp and speared him during the Gunther match.
“Bron Breakker gave it to me. It was his foot. His foot gave it to me when he speared me. Figure that out. This lunatic came so fast down the ramp — when he flipped as he speared me, his foot hit me in the eye. I was on the ground writhing in pain because I couldn’t breathe, wondering why my eye was also swelling,” Rollins said. He elaborated on just how fast the sequence happened. “I was not even on the ground before the foot got me in the face. I think it was a heel, because he flipped over. So he scorpioned up and wham. The man has a real problem. He does not know his own speed, his own strength. He’s on autopilot in the scariest way.”

Rollins added that the punishment did not end at WrestleMania 42 — Breakker also appeared twice on the Raw after WrestleMania, extending what had already been a painful weekend into an equally difficult Monday. “I saw it twice on Monday too, so it’s not been a great weekend for me.” Rollins and Breakker brawled on the post-WrestleMania Raw as their program appears to be the primary direction for The Visionary heading into the post-WrestleMania season. Rollins confirmed he is back and competing despite the eye remaining visibly swollen.
