Macey Estrella, formerly known in WWE as Lacey Evans, has confirmed she is coming back to professional wrestling. Posting on Instagram, Estrella revealed that her recent appearance at WrestleCon during WrestleMania 42 weekend reignited her passion for the business.
“I will be returning to wrestling. Yes, the Sassy Southern Belle is on her way back. As you all know, I just did a signing in Las Vegas during WrestleMania and it really lit that fire. Getting to see my fans, getting to conversate with them.”
According to Estrella, fans repeatedly asked when she planned to step back into the ring during the signing. That feedback, combined with her children expressing interest in seeing her wrestle, factored into her decision.
A five-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Evans began wrestling training in 2014 and signed with WWE in 2016. She debuted in NXT as the Sassy Southern Belle before moving to the main roster in early 2019. Her run included multiple character shifts, among them a storyline romance with Ric Flair and a 2022 transition to a military-based gimmick that featured the Cobra Clutch — a move popularized by Sgt. Slaughter — as her finisher.
Evans left WWE in August 2023 and later said the company was never her true passion. Following her departure, she ran a cafe in Beaufort County, South Carolina until 2025 and also operates an OnlyFans page.
