Kyle O’Reilly has earned an AEW Continental Championship match at Double or Nothing after surviving a 20-minute eliminator against Jon Moxley on Wednesday’s Dynamite and Collision special in Portland, Maine.
O’Reilly dominated much of the match and had Moxley in his submission, but Moxley held on through the time limit. The match ended in a draw and O’Reilly was immediately awarded the title shot for surviving. He requested the Double or Nothing match carry no time limit, and Moxley accepted.
O’Reilly has beaten Moxley in prior encounters. Moxley acknowledged heading into the eliminator that logic said he should stay away from O’Reilly, then booked himself in the match anyway.
