AEW sources confirmed to Fightful Select that a Keith Lee return was discussed internally several months ago, but those plans have not materialized.
Lee has not appeared on AEW television since December 2023. He was originally booked to face Swerve Strickland at AEW Worlds End 2023 but was pulled from the match after not being cleared to compete. Lee has said he has been managing an injury dating back to September 2022. He has publicly hinted at a return on multiple occasions without a concrete timeline.
