Matt Hardy recommended former WWE writer Nick Manfredini as a candidate to help with TNA’s creative team on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, following Tommy Dreamer’s departure this week.
“I would bring in Nick, who worked with myself and Bray back in WWE, who was a writer there already. Because I felt like he was really layered in the way he could do stuff. He knew how to treat us as special or as different. If there’s something in a supernatural aspect you’re trying to get out of these two characters, he knew how to utilize them. Where he also was very good at utilizing characters who were just legit wrestlers, who just go in the ring and wrestle,” Hardy said.
Hardy also expressed personal interest in contributing to TNA creative but acknowledged the complication of being one of the company’s top performers. He also teased that “someone new” is expected to come in soon to assist the creative team.
