Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio attributed the loaded card to Tony Khan’s awareness of World Cup competition. “One of the reasons it is so loaded is because Tony Khan is a soccer guy. He is well aware of the World Cup and he’s trying to put on a hell of a show going against World Cup soccer,” Meltzer said. The matches going head-to-head with Dynamite are the final Group A World Cup matches: South Africa vs. South Korea and Mexico vs. Czech Republic.
Konosuke Takeshita defends the AEW International Championship against Ricochet. Will Ospreay faces El Phantasmo. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta) face Mistico, Bandido, and Brody King. Zack Sabre Jr. meets Jack Perry. The Young Bucks face TMDK (Mikey Nicholls and Bad Dude Tito). Swerve Strickland meets Daniel Garcia.
