On the latest episode of My World, Jeff Jarrett broke down the AEW Forbidden Door card, highlighting the Owen Hart Cup finals and predicting which match would steal the show. You can check out his comments below:
“When you’ve got Darby in a cage, I put that right up there at the top. Kevin Knight and Kyle Fletcher are in the cage on MJF’s side, and I feel those three guys are always looking to steal the show. It goes without saying, with Mercedes Moné, the time she took off, there’s so much emotion there. I did a sit-down interview for the Countdown show and talked about Owen, and it takes me back to that Shawn Michaels San Antonio feel-good — the boy next door grew up in his hometown, with Will Ospreay at Wembley Stadium, his roots right there. That part of the Owen Cup, the men’s side, is cool. But Mercedes and her opponent, with the story of her older brother passing, that’s a one-in-a-million long shot, a feel-good story, and we know AEW isn’t afraid to give the people exactly what they want. The card always ends up being stacked. I’ll say this: I’m going to be very surprised if Kenny Omega doesn’t steal the show. Omega versus Zack Sabre Jr. has the makings. Everybody’s going to say it’s good, but I think Zack has something to prove — I don’t know that he’s had his breakout American match, and if you’re going to have one, it’s against Kenny. And where Kenny’s at in his career, he’s coming with his A game, probably more to prove something to himself than anybody else. When you’re playing against yourself, you try harder with more effort. So I’m really looking forward to Kenny’s match.”
