On the latest episode of My World, Jeff Jarrett praised the tag team division that powered early TNA, singling out Triple X as ahead of their time and the Naturals as a team he watched like a “proud papa.” You can check out his comments below:
“The program I remember kind of like a proud papa is the Naturals. Those guys are from this area. I don’t know how many times they worked together, but over and over they had great tag matches. As a producer, I’d be watching the clock — they’re going to get a set of heat, do the comeback — and I’d look and go, holy shit, they’ve got nine minutes and they’re already in the comeback, they’re going to go early. And sure enough, they’d throw enough curves, end up with all four guys down out of a false finish, go another two or three minutes, and hit their mark right on time. I’m like, son of a bitch, what a match. As a producer you get a little angst, but no, they had it. Then Triple X — those three guys, that whole tag team group from about 2004 to 2009, if they were to come on today, Triple X would be right there. They were really modern tag team wrestling. When Bubba and D-Von came over, after their WWF and WCW runs, Triple X did a program with them, and it was a massive contribution to the show. They always wanted a few extra minutes, and that program really showed how good they were as talent. I thought that was their best program.”
