Mark Briscoe is dealing with a legitimate injury, with Bryan Alvarez confirming on F4WOnline that the issue is real but the nature and duration of the setback remain unknown.

Briscoe received an AEW World Championship shot on Dynamite but fell short against MJF. The following night on Collision, his Conglomeration stablemates Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong addressed the situation.
“That steel cage match was crazy. We got the job done, and Mark did get his championship title shot at Dynamite, but it didn’t really work out,” Cassidy said.
“Because of his injuries, we don’t know when we’re going to see Mark again,” O’Reilly added.
MJF’s next title defense is already set — he faces Kenny Omega on the Beach Break edition of Dynamite on July 8, with Omega barred from future title shots if he loses.
