Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes will meet in a non-title match on next week’s SmackDown in Oklahoma City, with Lil Yachty making clear the United States Championship will not be on the line, according to F4WOnline.
Hayes interrupted Williams and Yachty on Friday’s show, calling the US title the “workhorse title for those who are hungry” and demanding a championship opportunity. Yachty agreed to a match but specified it would be non-title given Hayes’ previous failed title shot, adding that after next week there would be no more excuses.
Hayes ended the segment by wiping out both Williams and Yachty with a dive.
