Rey Mysterio teased a Bad Bunny appearance in AAA during the July 5 AAA on Fox broadcast, and Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio has confirmed there is something to the tease.
During the show, JBL asked Mysterio — who serves as AAA General Manager — if Bad Bunny could come to AAA now that Damian Priest had officially debuted. Mysterio responded: “We’re working on that as well.” Alvarez noted there is substance behind Mysterio’s comment.
Bad Bunny’s entire professional wrestling career has taken place in WWE. He debuted at WrestleMania 37, tagging with Priest to defeat The Miz and John Morrison. He entered the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble and defeated Priest in a street fight at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico in a match Dave Meltzer rated four and a half stars. There have also been previous reports of WWE exploring a Bad Bunny vs. Logan Paul match.
Damian Priest was officially introduced to the AAA audience on the same broadcast and is set to team with R-Truth to face the War Raiders (Erik & Ivar) for the AAA World Tag Team Championships in a future match.
