Matt Hardy expressed uncertainty about whether AEW would be the right landing spot for Sheamus following his WWE departure, speaking on The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast.
“I mean, I think it all depends on timing and place. So for instance, at AEW, could they use him? I don’t know. AEW has a ton of former WWE talent. It’s got a huge bloated roster that doesn’t use everybody. Could he add beneficial equity to AEW? I mean, he probably could. It depends on how they’re going to feature him. I don’t know how he would feel about how he is featured, maybe it’s real good, but not something he’s happy with. Who knows? AEW is kind of a roll of the dice,” Hardy said.
Hardy is one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions. Sheamus is leaving WWE after declining a restructured contract extension.
