Ricky Saints hopes to be in this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match when the show comes to his hometown. Speaking on the Battleground Podcast, Saints said he wants to win the briefcase.
“Hey, listen, I don’t know what’s going to happen. I can only hope that I’m in the Money in the Bank match, and I can only hope that I win it.”
Money in the Bank takes place October 10 in New Orleans. The show was originally announced for August 29 before being moved to September and then confirmed for October.
Saints signed with WWE in February of last year, and this year’s event would be his first Money in the Bank. Last year’s show took place June 7, with Seth Rollins winning the men’s ladder match over a field that included Andrade, El Grande Americano, LA Knight, Penta, and Solo Sikoa. Rollins cashed in at SummerSlam after faking an injury, taking the World Heavyweight Championship from CM Punk shortly after Punk beat Gunther for it.
