On the latest episode of My World, Jeff Jarrett looked back fondly on getting to work Ric Flair on WCW Nitro, calling it a bucket-list experience and a tease of a Four Horsemen payoff that never fully materialized. You can check out his comments below:
“I got to get chopped and wooed and strutted, and I faced a bucket-list item. Are you kidding me? Face the Nature Boy on Nitro. You talk about an easy match to work, and a lot of fun. A 30-year-old guy working with all the history that goes with it — it was a lot of fun. We ought to do a watch-along on this, Conrad. As a business junkie, I wonder what the rating was. It was good, I’ll take the credit — and if it was bad, that damn Nature Boy quit drawing. I’m kidding. As of late, with Dark Side and the Hall of Fame and the auction, I always remember this one fondly. Conrad likes to ask ‘what if,’ and I’ve always said, what would have been the Four Horsemen payoff? If me and Rich could have worked and worked to a singles match, winner in the Horsemen, loser out, and of course the Nature Boy goes over — it would have been a definitive end to the program. This was kind of the precursor of what we were going to see. A lot of fond memories about this one, tons.”
