On the latest episode of My World, Jeff Jarrett reflected on the response to his Dark Side of the Ring episode, noting how it has surprised people with the human side of the TNA story and shifted some long-held opinions of him. You can check out his comments below:
“I guess you could say it’s been overwhelming at times. I get comments from folks at my church who had no idea about the story, and then folks who’ve followed it and lived it. There were people who didn’t really put it all together back in the TNA days — Karen, Rudy Charles, Dutch Mantell, Jim Cornette, Savio, several agents. When the power play went down, people didn’t put all of that together. It’s been a mix. There’s the old saying: for those who believe, no explanation is needed, and for those who don’t, no explanation will do. So no matter what’s presented, some people are going to hate old Double J, and other folks, like Conrad, when we first met it was, hey, wait a minute, maybe he was just doing his job. I hated that son of a bitch, but maybe he was just doing his job. There’s quite a bit of that. And people have seen a human side — I’ve seen comments like, wow, I’ve never seen Scott Steiner upset, or I’ve never seen Vince Russo upset, I didn’t think he had that in him. Vice and Dark Side of the Ring are very happy with the numbers, and I’ve been told the series is viewed a little bit differently.”
