On the latest episode of My World, Jeff Jarrett responded to Eric Bischoff’s recent comments about the TNA Dark Side of the Ring episode, disputing Bischoff’s claim that he had no hand in the company’s direction. You can check out his comments below:
“I just chuckle at all of that. I’ve said this, I don’t know how many times, in the interviews: ultimately, under Dixie’s leadership, it was all on her shoulders. But if you think she had the Nasty Boys and Orlando Jordan and — you can go down the entire list of talent they brought in — that was Hulk and Eric, that was their idea. So if he wants to walk that line, I just chuckle. He’s your partner. I don’t think there’s any upside here, you’re going to get my comment regardless.”
“They took it on the road. They said the hell with the Orlando soundstage. They brought in the Nasty Boys, they brought in this talent, they brought in that talent, they wanted to switch things creatively with AJ Styles, they got rid of the six-sided ring. Dixie is not a booker, she’s not creative — all of that is 1,000 percent true, it all rests on Dixie’s shoulders. But Eric and Hulk were the two biggest influencers. I think that came across very clear. I don’t think Eric has the ability to look himself in the eye, because he commented on a show that he hasn’t even watched, and he’s dancing on this ‘no operational control’ thing as if he did nothing wrong. He was a part of the power play, whether he wants to say it or not. I was in Spike’s offices the following year, in 2014, when it all went down and Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment became the executive producer. Come on, guys, get honest with yourself. My greatest gift is being able to look myself in the mirror and go, I screwed up so many times — the good, the bad, and the ugly — and I’m here to stay, and I’m grateful for every experience I’ve had. There’s no such thing as a perfect booker, and there’s no such thing as a perfect human being.”
