Brie Bella says a Bryan Danielson comeback is not likely, describing him as focused on their family while she wrestles. Bella talked about Danielson’s current life in an interview with radio host Sal Licata.
“For me, I’m lucky because my husband is so supportive,” Bella said. “Because he retired from in-ring, it gave me the opportunity to come back. When I started to realize his schedule, I was like, ‘I really want to make a comeback. I want you to be my coach. I really want to train hard, it’s going to be a lot of work, but will you be able to deal with the schedule?’ He was like, ‘Yes, 100%.’ So, I honestly couldn’t do it without him. I feel so blessed.”
“He’s been picking up all those times when it was just the kids and I, you know? It’s funny because I’m like, ‘You’re like Pinterest dad.’ He’s crushing it. The homemade meals, the fun snacks, the arts and crafts. He’s doing a great job.”
Danielson first retired in 2016, returned in 2018, and joined AEW in 2021. His last televised match came in October 2024, a loss to Jon Moxley for the AEW World Title. He has wrestled once since, an eight-second win over Max Caster in a dark match in Washington in June 2025.
Bella is wrestling full-time again after her own long absence. She returned at this year’s Royal Rumble and won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles with Paige at WrestleMania.
