A six-way ladder match has been added to Redemption after an injury to Mistico. Tony Khan went live on X following Dynamite to say Mistico was not cleared for AEW television this week or Sunday’s pay-per-view after injuries suffered last Friday at Arena Mexico.
Khan said he hopes Mistico will be ready for Grand Slam Mexico next month, and that he would have been a strong challenger for the winner of Sunday’s International Title match between Kyle Fletcher and Bandido. Khan then added the ladder match, with the winner earning a future International Title shot.
Four names were drawn for the match: Jack Perry, The Beast Mortos, Komander, and Mike Bailey. Two qualifiers on Saturday’s Collision fill the remaining spots.
It will be the first AEW action in some time for both Mortos and El Clon, who have been dealing with visa issues. Komander and Mark Davis recently returned after the same problems.
Redemption takes place Sunday, July 26 in Montreal.
