On the latest episode of his My World podcast, recorded live, Jeff Jarrett was asked what he expects from Vince McMahon now that the lawsuit against him has been dismissed and sent to arbitration, clearing the way for McMahon to become a public figure again. You can check out his comments below:
“When you think about the history of his public career, he wasn’t a quiet man in the ’80s, he damn sure wasn’t a quiet man in the ’90s. I’ll never forget that day in Boston — I guess that was when, in a lot of ways, Vince went silent and only spoke publicly in statements. He doesn’t do anything quiet, so I’m expecting something shocking. I’m expecting something loud. Obviously it’s going to be up Vince’s alley, but I just don’t really have any idea.”
Jarrett said his instinct is that whatever McMahon does will be driven by business rather than image rehabilitation:
“Be careful how I word this — but there’s always a business slant. What’s his next? My gut tells me, what’s the next business move? That’s what’s interesting.”
He was skeptical of the theory that McMahon might buy TNA, the company Jarrett himself founded:
“I would be shocked if Vince bought TNA. He’s probably — I don’t know if he’s the single largest shareholder, but he’s up there. As far as an individual owning stock, he ain’t never left. He may not be an executive, but he’s made more money since he stepped down than when he was there. That takes in a lot of zeros. That’d be the craziest thing in the world — Vince buying the company that Jeff Jarrett started.”
