Jeff Jarrett said Brock Lesnar has no equivalent in wrestling history, days after Lesnar announced his retirement on The Pat McAfee Show.
Lesnar lost to Oba Femi in the Night One main event of SummerSlam and acknowledged him afterward before confirming the retirement.
Asked on My World with Jeff Jarrett where Lesnar sits historically, Jarrett declined to rank him at all.
“Brock has no peers. He did this in the UFC, in the MMA world, and became champion… I don’t think Brock has a peer in our industry in that his athletic background, and I’m talking about starting from the amateur all the way up, breaking into our business, having that run, going back to the athletic competitive MMA, and then stepping back into the entertainment world.”
Jarrett pointed to the length of the second WWE run, the partnership with Paul Heyman, and how Lesnar managed his schedule.
“His business acumen, I think, is freaking incredible… So you put it all together: his business acumen, his athletic ability, his athletic career, his professional wrestling career. You can’t fit him in a box. To me, he is the one, the only Brock Lesnar.”
