Jeff Jarrett said the reported gap between how Dominik Mysterio is booked in WWE and in AAA comes down to separate creative teams, and that the fix is a conversation Mysterio should have himself.
Reports last week said Mysterio is frustrated that he is presented as a comedy act on WWE television while holding AAA’s Mega Championship.
On My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett noted that the AAA creative process and the Raw and SmackDown teams are different rooms with different views of the same talent.
“I think it’s probably about time for Dominik to no longer become Rey’s kid to the Raw and SmackDown teams, because the Raw and SmackDown teams have literally written for Rey for years, and they look at Dom as, okay, that’s the kid.”
“I do think it’s probably time for Dominik to go in and saying, hey, can we talk about this? I’m not real happy. I think this needs to go in a different direction… and handle it like business, but don’t have Rey do it.”
Jarrett added that Mysterio’s usefulness may be part of the problem, saying versatile talent often gets slotted wherever a show needs help.
“The value of being multi-talented and multifaceted and being able to be plugged and play top to the bottom of the card can work against you.”
