On the latest episode of 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff responded to UFC’s plans to develop the remaining land at its Las Vegas campus — including a hotel expansion with TKO partner WWE — and laid out what he’d want to see built there. You can check out his comments below:
On what he’d do with it:
“This is a little myopic, really focused on one thing. But I still believe that a weekly show — a show like Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, small amphitheatre — would be a great place for trainees from that area to really go out. Because now you’ve got a fresh crowd every show.”
On why Vegas specifically works:
“These aren’t the same people that come to every show like the soundstage. That’s the one benefit of being in Vegas: you get a different crowd every night, in addition to your local crowd. So I still think a nightly show kind of schedule as part of your overall development strategy would be amazing.”
On the wider opportunity:
“You and I are on the same page. I just think there are so many opportunities to get your brand out in front of a new audience every weekend in a lot of different fun ways. It can become kind of immersive. So it’s cool. I like it.”
