On the latest episode of Kliq This, Kevin Nash was told by a listener that The Undertaker and Jeremy Borash are now steering AAA — and it was enough to get him to commit to watching a wrestling show for the first time in months. You can check out his comments below:
On the news:
“Really? Just the fact that Mark’s booking it would excite me. He’s always had such a great mind for the business.”
On what makes Undertaker a natural teacher:
“I don’t mean this in a disrespectful way, and I don’t mean it physically or about his look, but the way that he conveys and the way that he talks — I would imagine it’s what it’s like if I was being taught to play guitar by Willie Nelson. He’s got that father, nurturing thing. He knows how to tell you how to do it, and not in a mean drill sergeant kind of way. In a way where you’ll get it.”
On why he’s the right man for a lucha promotion:
“I think it’s so important to have Mark in a position like that, because Mark’s greatest attribute is the storytelling. The pieces of what we would call high spots, the mechanics, were always secondary. And I think for a luchador federation to be story-driven is — that’s a compelling thought for me. It’s to the point where I know in the next two weeks that I will watch an hour of that. So thank you for throwing that out to me.”
On Jeremy Borash’s involvement:
“Borash was in charge of the paparazzi at TNA. So the fact that Borash is with Taker tells me that’s going to have a little bit of Jeremy’s flavour, which I absolutely dig.”
