Kairi Sane remains unsigned days before All In: London, according to Sean Ross Sapp, who also repeated that Thekla’s absence from the card makes no sense to him.
Asked during a Fightful Select Q&A whether AEW could be holding Thekla out of a major All In role in anticipation of a Sane debut, Sapp addressed the free agent first.
“As of right this moment, as I film this, the last weekend of August, or the second-to-last weekend of August, Kairi isn’t signed to any company. There’s still work to be done on that.”
“I’m not sure what Thekla is doing at All In, but she absolutely deserves to be on the card in a substantial way. The fact that she isn’t, as of yet, is kind of weird because she is huge for them, and she should probably be winning on that card as things stand.”
Sane left WWE earlier this year. Speaking with ShuPro after becoming a free agent, she said promotions in Japan and elsewhere had approached her.
“I haven’t made a final decision yet. I’m prepared to complete a new story from here, all the way to the end,” Sane said.
All In: London takes place Sunday at Wembley Stadium. No match or segment involving Thekla has been announced.
