Jeff Jarrett said Kenny Omega carried the pressure going into the AEW World Championship main event against Will Ospreay at All In 2026.
Ospreay won the title in his home country at Wembley Stadium. Speaking on My World with Jeff Jarrett, Jarrett said the weight of expectation sat with the champion rather than the challenger.
“I think that all the pressure in so many ways was on Kenny’s shoulders,” Jarrett said. “His body of work is incredible. So how is he going to top that? And then you throw in him coming back from his illness and, I mean, that wasn’t a knee surgery or a neck surgery. That was serious organ failure type surgery. And so he came back from that, he’s got himself in shape. But going against the hometown boy… no disrespect to Will at all, but to me, the pressure was really on Kenny’s shoulders, and he delivered in so many ways.”
Jarrett said the finish landed because of what the crowd had invested in Ospreay over the course of the night.
“I think that’s why there was just a crazy, crazy amount of mad respect for Kenny after the match, which I thought was cool,” he said.
