Jeff Jarrett said his appearance at RevPro’s 14th anniversary show in London was set up in a matter of hours after a chance conversation with Will Ospreay.
Jarrett was working the AEW All In fan experience on the Saturday before the pay-per-view when he ran into Ospreay, and asked whether he could get into the RevPro show around the corner from his hotel.
“I said, ‘Hey, RevPro’s there, you know Andy, and I’ve known Andy and known of him, and I’ve known of the promotion for a long time.’ I said, ‘Do you think you can kind of give them a heads up, or ask them? I’d like to walk in the back door, and I want to kind of check this out,'” Jarrett said on My World with Jeff Jarrett.
Ospreay called him back about an hour later.
“He said, ‘Hey Jeff, I got a question for you. Do you have your gear?’ And I said, ‘Will, you know the old timer saying. Does a carpenter leave work without his hammer and nails and tools?’ He said, ‘Ah, mate.’ I said, ‘Yeah, I got it.’ And he said, ‘Well, I just talked to Andy, and he wants to know, would you be interested?'”
Jarrett said the whole thing came together around three or four o’clock that afternoon.
