Jeff Jarrett offered high praise for the recently announced partnership between WWE and Slim Jim, which will see Slim Jim branding on all WWE folding tables used in matches, calling the innovative sponsorship “fantastic.”
Reacting to the news on his My World podcast, where it was detailed that WWE Superstars will now “Snap into a Slim Jim table,” Jarrett stated, “Hats off. I think it’s fantastic. And there’s going to be more to come.” He questioned why more brands haven’t utilized wrestling’s unique integration opportunities: “Why in the hell… Why aren’t there like, 20 or 30 of them out there?”
Jarrett highlighted the value proposition for sponsors: “Professional wrestling, it’s that hybrid that is around 52 weeks a year that gets nothing but numbers… You have anywhere between 1020, 3040, 50, maybe more, spokespeople, brand ambassadors. You have the ability to really integrate your product.” He compared this to the limitations in other sports, noting a football player “can’t run off the field in the middle of the game and Snap into a Slim Jim.”
He commended the decision-makers at Slim Jim for their continued and evolving partnership with WWE, dating back to the “Macho Man” Randy Savage era. “Slim Jim consistently… those decision makers on that side. Hats off… What makes them coming back for more? Yes, they’re selling a lot of product, but why are they the ones to always kind of be the trendsetters…? It’s pretty cool, man, I love it. I absolutely love it.”
