AJ Styles is already planning for life after wrestling, and his signature hairstyle won’t be part of it.
In a recent interview with Kenny McIntosh of Inside The Ropes, The Phenomenal One revealed that “retirement AJ” will look drastically different from the superstar fans know today. Styles stated that once he hangs up his boots, the hair is the first thing to go.
“When retirement does finally come, that will be the first thing that goes is probably the hair. I’m thinking about it. I’m thinking about a full shave. Just go, completely gone, all of it,” Styles said.
He also jokingly noted that his wife, Wendy Jones, might accelerate the process.
“According to my wife, it’s gonna be cut soon, like it’s getting way too long, and she doesn’t like it. So she’s like, repeatedly telling me I’m gonna have to cut a couple inches off. Not cut it all off now.”
Styles was most recently scheduled to face John Cena at Crown Jewel in October 2025, a match that was part of Cena’s retirement tour. As Styles approaches the twilight of his career, fans should enjoy the signature look while it lasts, as a full shave appears to be inevitable once he steps away from the ring.
