The “Salt of the Earth” is reportedly on his way back to AEW.
According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, MJF has completed his filming commitments for Violent Night 2 and is expected to return as early as next week. Specifically, he is heavily rumored to participate in the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royal on December 17 in Manchester—a match he has won for five consecutive years.
“Nobody else has ever won the ring. So, I can’t say 1000% that MJF is going to be in that match, but I mean, MJF’s going to be in that match,” Alvarez stated.
Alvarez also revealed that MJF has been quietly present backstage at recent AEW events.
“They tried to keep it lowkey, but he has been there. So, he’s returning.”
MJF still holds a contract guaranteeing him a World Title match, which could position him for the main event of Worlds End later this month. He has not appeared on AEW television since losing to Mark Briscoe at All Out 2025 in September.
