Luchasaurus is headed back to the sidelines.
According to Fightful Select, the AEW star has suffered a legitimate shoulder injury and is expected to miss significant time. The injury was addressed on-screen during Dynamite: New Year’s Smash, where Luchasaurus appeared with his shoulder wrapped to support Jack Perry during his National Championship match.
In the match, Luchasaurus was attacked by The Demand (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun), who ruthlessly targeted his injured arm. The assault included slamming a barricade onto his shoulder and culminated with him being taken backstage.
While specific details regarding surgery are not yet known, the angle was designed to write him off television while he recovers. This is a tough blow for the former TNT Champion, who had only recently reunited with Perry after a long hiatus.
