Mercedes Mone’s international title run has taken another significant hit. The AEW star lost the PTW Women’s Championship to Diana Strong at Prime Time Wrestling in Poland on March 29, adding yet another defeat to a recent string of losses that has dramatically reduced her championship portfolio.
Mone now holds just two active championships — the WPW Women’s Championship in Canada and the APAC Women’s Championship in Malaysia, the latter of which is rarely defended. The PTW defeat follows a particularly brutal stretch that included losing two championships in one night at RevPro High Stakes to Alexxis Falcon, as well as dropping the EWA Women’s Championship and the CMLL Women’s World Championship in the same general period.

Mone has been off AEW television since dropping the TBS Championship to Willow Nightingale at Dynamite: New Year’s Smash, though she has indicated plans to return to the company following her international commitments. Whether she walks into that return as a champion at all will depend on the outcome of her upcoming defense against Threat.
