Mark Briscoe has been absent from AEW television since March 11, and PWInsider’s Mike Johnson has addressed why. In a recent Q&A, Johnson confirmed that Briscoe remains with All Elite Wrestling and that his absence is injury-related, though he did not get into specifics about the nature of the injury or a potential return timeline.
Briscoe’s last AEW appearance came on the March 11 Dynamite where he teamed with The Young Bucks against FTR and Tommaso Ciampa, coming out on the losing end. Prior to his absence, he had been involved in a storyline with Ciampa that developed after Briscoe inadvertently cost Ciampa a match against Daniel Garcia on the March 7 Collision, leading to Ciampa attacking him and turning heel. Briscoe had held the AEW TNT Championship after dethroning Kyle Fletcher at Full Gear in November 2025 before dropping the title to Ciampa on the January 31 Collision.
