AEW Dynamite airs live tonight at 8 PM ET from the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Portland, Oregon on TBS and HBO Max, headlined by new AEW World Champion Darby Allin’s first title defense against Tommaso Ciampa in a first-time-ever championship match.
Allin captured the title just one week ago at Spring BreakThru Dynamite in Everett, Washington, defeating MJF in under five minutes with multiple Coffin Drops and a headlock takeover in front of his hometown crowd. Tonight he addresses the AEW audience for the first time as champion before defending against Ciampa, who has won his last four singles matches and called out the winner of the Allin versus MJF match immediately after the title change. Will Ospreay faces former United Empire partner Mark Davis in their first singles match since the 2023 New Japan Cup — with Davis having brutally attacked Ospreay last week on behalf of the Don Callis Family. Mina Shirakawa faces Hikaru Shida for the first time ever in a match born from Shirakawa’s suspicion that Shida may have been behind the attack that put Toni Storm out of action.
