A rumor claiming that Pro Wrestling Tees had severed ties with AEW and laid off their entire merch design team has been officially denied. The claim originated from a viral post on Squared Circle Reddit, allegedly made by a member of the affected team, which stated the layoffs were a direct consequence of AEW ending their partnership with PWTees. Pro Wrestling Tees reached out to Fightful to set the record straight.
“The person who made the Reddit post circulating has no knowledge of our business. Nothing on that post is true except that we unfortunately told some of our contracted designers that we would not need them for as many AEW designs anymore. Some of the AEW designers are still contracted. Nothing has changed otherwise and we are still fulfilling merchandise for AEW,” the statement read. Pro Wrestling Tees has been AEW‘s official merchandise partner since the company’s founding in 2019.
