Billy Gunn is 62 years old, regularly credited as being in the best shape of his life, and has no intention of stopping anytime soon — though he has also been honest about the adjustments required to keep his body performing at this level. Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Gunn discussed his partnership with Titan Medical and the specific approach that has allowed him to maintain his physical condition while acknowledging the natural limitations that come with his age.
“Everybody’s going to take this the wrong way, and it’s what it is. But you need help in longevity, help in health, help in nutrition, help in your fitness. And I have all that. Titan Medical is one of the leading peptide companies in Tampa. When you work or do what I do at a level that I do — am I a WrestleMania five-star guy? No, I’m not anymore, and I know that. But there’s still a part of me that loves to do this,” Gunn said. He explained the science behind the peptide use in straightforward terms. “They’re naturally found in your body anyway. As we get older, we’re just kind of losing that so we kick it back in gear for longevity, health, whatever you need it for.”
Billy Gunn Says He Does Not Want to Wrestle Into His 70s but Will Continue While He Is Still Having Fun
On his long-term future in the ring, Gunn was equally direct. “I want to do it while I still can and while I’m still having fun. Do I want to work until I’m 70? No. But is it possible? Sure, anything’s possible. But I’m getting to the point where I’m kind of slowing down a little.” He recently adjusted his gym schedule from a six-day split to five days to allow more recovery time, acknowledging that at 62 his body cannot bounce back the way it once could. Gunn has been competing for QT Marshall’s 1FW promotion and has appeared on ROH on HonorClub in recent tag team matches.
